German Language Courses (A1 to B1)
Communication on general topics; means of verbal expression for more complex conversation; writing of unsophisticated official documents; comprehension of general content of simple radio or television broadcasts; command of basic vocabulary on general topics. In all four linguistic skills, the course aims to achieve competence according to the scales of the Common European Framework of Reference for the respective level (B1). The content is based on the book "Pluspunkt Deutsch. Leben in Österreich".

German Job Circle Programm
In the German Job Circle Programme, the group meets to discuss, (in German), job related topics.  We focus on content relevant to the Carinthian labour market and talk about our individual experiences and how each of us can learn from these.We take turns at simulating interviews with a view to focusing on introducing ourselves, answering questions, presenting our professional experience and asking relevant questions. We take turns at being interviewer and interviewee.  Following this exercise we discuss these aspects when applying for a job: research, summarising results, presentation techniques and continuous reflection.

Work on Strengths & Weaknesses KODE Workshop
The participants will focus on their abilities and potential, together with their developmental requirements. Understanding your strengths and weaknesses is important in any job search.  KODE® evaluates your known and unknown knowledge and capabilities thereby assessing your developmental requirements.  You will receive a description of your own abilities by:
​​​​​​- Completing and questionnaire based on familiar situations, and
- Completing a second questionnaire based on stressful situations.
You will then be given time to reflect on your results in one-to-one meetings (in German or English) and work out strategies for further development. The questionnaires are available in German, English, French, Italian, Croatian, Russian, Polish and Spanish.

Career Planning Workshop
Are you in a period of reflection about your professional career? Maybe you have changed country and you are looking for a job or if you have a job you are wondering about a change. You will learn how to plan your professional career, we will talk about self-assessment, personal branding, elevator pitch, career paths and concrete goals. You will receive a professional career plan template that you can fill out in the days following the workshop and then discuss with our trainers during an individual coaching session.

Stress Management Workshop
Are you feeling stressed within your home or work life?  If so, during this workshop we will discuss your stressors and through tailor-made techniques that suit your daily routine, we’ll enable you to feel more settled and relaxed with the ultimate aim being to combat any stress with which you are dealing. You will learn about the two sides of stress, its advantages and disadvantages, gain awareness about your stress symptoms, assess your own level of tension and explore various stress coping strategies (including relaxation techniques and the power of positive thoughts). Intercultural Competence Workshop
On the basis of Erin Meyers book (2018) “The Culture Map" we will explore and decode how people think, lead, and get things done across cultures. Using the eight-scale model to illustrate behaviour-based, cultural differences. The eight scales will illustrate how cultures differ on a spectrum between different extremes. The model is intended to help understand challenges in international business collaboration and thereby enable strategies for effective collaboration. The primary goal of this unit is to identify the cultural differences of various countries and to derive possible recommendations for living and working in Carinthia and/or abroad.

In a world that is changing rapidly and where workers move around much more easily, it is important to learn how to manage your professional carrier as a company, or better still as a start-up. It is therefore essential to learn how to manage relationships and use the new social tools intelligently. Elevator Pitch
The elevator pitch is a short way of introducing yourself, conveying one or two/three key points and creating a connection with someone. It is called a lift pitch because it takes about as long as you would spend in a lift with someone. We use this metaphor to prepare you to answer the question "Tell me a little about yourself" that is often asked during job interviews. We have created our own scheme for responding to recruiters, which we will pass on to you and use to customise your elevator pitch, including simulations, of course!
